I’ll Be Loving You Where You Are - David Collins

2016. This was a fun project for an old musician friend who needed a music video to promote his new single. There was no budget, but David was filmed performing against a green screen and about $1000 was spent on stock footage from Shutterstock. Edited in Adobe After Effects, the media was delivered digitally to The Orchard in New York where they feature it on their ‘The Radial’ YouTube channel.

Colombian Emeralds TV Advertisement - 2001.

A production for a duty free jewelry retailer that aired on The Visitor Channel in Barbados, an in-room visitor information and entertainment channel that showed in hotel rooms, villas and golf resorts, 2001. Videography, editing and custom music bed direction. Written and directed by Neil Barnard, 809Design Barbados.

 

Men’s Club TV - 1999

This playful take on a get-together with the boys for dominoes was written and directed by for a Caribbean-wide audience.

 

Harris Paints Ultima Product Launch TV Commercials, 2000

Written and Directed by Rich & Terri Archer for Red Advertising for a new line of paint for Harris, a regional manufacturer. Rich also rendered and animated the 3D infinity symbol for the TV ad logo stinger and product packaging

 

Reef Madness - The 2001 Independence Pro Classic Surf Contest Barbados

Contracted by the Barbados Tourism Authority to cover and promote one one the island’s premiere sports tourism events on the calendar, Rich hired veteran sporting event director Jason Rem (X Games, Triple Crown of Surfing, Pipe Masters) to direct this production. This was a shoot, edit, motion graphics & post production job featuring eleven time world champion surfer Kelly Slater. This production utilized 3 camera on the beach, a water videographer and camera operators in a helicopter and on jet ski. The show was broadcast to millions of viewers throughout the Caribbean on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s channel 3 TV station. The production was also used to promote sports tourism in Barbados at international travel and leisure markets in London and New York.

 

Ivan - The Aftermath

On September 7, 2004, Hurricane Ivan, a category 3 storm, struck the Caribbean island of Grenada, causing widespread destruction. The financial cost of the disaster was estimated at more than US$900 million, more than twice the country's GDP. Rich was contracted by the Barbados Community Foundation to travel to our neighboring island of Grenada to document and record the physical destruction wrought by the hurricane and the emotional and psychological damage experienced by the island’s population. The production was successfully used to raise funds for the island’s recovery and rebuilding after this horrific natural disaster.
